Team Dropbox take on the Twin Town Challenge 2016

Forget the hype over the new Top Gear – Team Dropbox’s stunts this weekend will put even the new Evans/Le Blanc team in the shade.

For today marks the start of the 2016 Twin Town Challenge. Run by Special Effect, a charity which helps young people with disabilities learn through technology, and it’s their biggest fundraiser yet.

In a nutshell the Challenge involved us buying a banger for £500, modifying it, and today we drove ‘Bully’ to the start-line in Blenheim Palace.

Over the next three days Team Dropbox, along with 47 other teams, will leave Blenheim Palace for a circuit of Silverstone before crossing the channel to Le Touquet where a series of challenges begin. From Car Boxing to Blind Driving and even Best Dressed, Team Dropbox will be competing to come out on top!

If you’d like to sponsor us for this brilliant cause or find out more about Special Effect’s Twin Town Challenge click here, and remember every penny raised from donations will be matched by Dropbox!

We’ve been involved with Special Effect for a while as part of our Dropbox for Good initiative – in which every staff member gets to give a free Dropbox for Business account to a charity/cause of their choice. Special Effect is a unique charity close to our heart because they’re using technology to really transform the lives of young people with physical or mental difficulties, so we’re excited to be part of the company’s biggest fundraiser.

Keep an eye on the blog and follow #twintown2016 for updates from the road – fingers crossed we make it to the finish line!
